SFWMRT at 2009 Busan Cup - Day Three
The SFWMRT had a better day on Monday - winning all three matches we sailed today. We left the dock in around 25 knots of wind with a reef in the main. By the time we started racing off of Haeundae Beach the wind had subsided, but it was reallt puffy as the breeze came around the high-rises along the beach. We raced with a reef in the main, but no spinnakers. There were massive windshifts and “helicopter puffs”, so we stayed on our toes for all of the matches.
After three days of racing at the Busan Cup Women’s International Match Race, Claire Leroy (FRA) and Lucy Macgregor (GBR) still sit on top of the leaderboard with 8 wins and no losses. Round Robin racing continues tomorrow morning followed by the semi-finals.
